Friday Funday: Shopping Expedition

It’s tropical storm season here in Hawaii and we just had our first storm of the summer pass through. It was kind of a let down…little rain or wind.

What it DID bring was heat.

Humidity.

Stillness.

YUCK.

Today I packed the kids in the car (air conditioning!) and we headed off to Pearlridge Shopping Center (air conditioning!). They had some allowance money to spend, and I didn’t feel like playing the hero and taking them to the zoo (NO air conditioning!) or even the aquarium (BROKEN air conditioning!). So we went to the mall.

Emma bought a DS game (yes, I let my kids watch t.v. and play video games!).

Gracie bought a pair of fancy, smanshy white dress shoes ($5 at Payless!).

Judah tried unsuccessfully to pull everything off the shelves as we strolled by.

Momma got a chocolate-dipped shortbread cookie at Cookie Corner (the best part–they dip the WHOLE COOKIE).

We got Wendy’s on the way home.

The girls played Wii while Judah and I napped.

It was, indeed, a fun day!
